Sierra 6mm 85gr Varminter #1520
This 85 grain Spitzer bullet for rifles has a great flat base shape and can travel at high speeds with all 6mm cartridges. This bullet is designed for expansion on varmints and small game and has a strictly controlled internal taper and jacket thickness. Small deer and antelope can be hit with this game bullet, but careful shot placement is required.
Because handguns can only fire this bullet at relatively low speeds with any but the largest wildcat cartridges, it is too "hard" to use on field game. This bullet performs best in handgun barrels with typical twist rates and gives exceptional accuracy in long-range target competitions as well as high momentum downrange for silhouette competitions.
