Description

The Vixen Optics 10x42 Artes J DCF ED Binoculars are designed to produce the exceptional image quality that one would expect from an optic made in Japan.

Extra-low dispersion (ED) glass is used for the objective lens elements and BAK4 glass for the roof prisms to start the performance. The next layer includes phase-correcting, highly reflective prism coatings, anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics, and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics, all of which combine to increase light transmission, reduce color fringing, and enhance clarity and contrast throughout the wide field of view. Each of these elements offers the user a vivid, clear observational experience with accurate color representation.

Vixen uses an open-bridge/dual-hinge layout to complement the optical performance. This configuration lightens the optic while giving more surface area than closed bridges for a more comfortable grip without compromising overall strength and stability. The optical tubes are covered in a slip-resistant rubber armor, and the chassis is constructed of a strong, lightweight magnesium alloy. The binoculars' optical tubes are nitrogen-filled, O-ring sealed, waterproof, and resistant to internal fogging to withstand the rigors of year-round use. In order to prevent arm weariness and distracting hand tremor during prolonged observation sessions, the ARTES-J can be tripod mounted with an optional Vixen Type-M adapter.
