Description

Sierra 6mm 100gr Spitzer #1540

The thick, double-tapered jacket on this 100-grain Spitzer bullet #1540 for rifles ensures sufficient penetration and trustworthy expansion on medium game. This bullet might be the best option for hunting antelope or deer as well as huge varmints. It might also be the preferred bullet in some rifles due of the flat base structure, which improves accuracy in that specific firearm.

Due to the modest velocity from all but the largest wildcat cartridges, the 100 grain #1540 Spitzer bullet in handguns is too "hard" for use on field game. However, when fired from handgun barrels with conventional twist rates, this bullet will produce exceptional accuracy for long-range target competitions and high momentum downrange for silhouette competitions.
