Description

Sierra 22cal 45gr Hornet #1210

Sierra Varminter Bullets deliver the performance and consistency required within the tight sport of varmint hunting. These thin-jacketed, soft core bullets were designed to be used in cartridges akin to the twenty two Hornet, 22 K-Hornet, and 218 Bee at muzzle velocities between 2600 and 2900 Federal Protective Service. These short bullets simply stabilize in barrels with a one in 16" twist. These varmint bullets conjointly perform okay at velocities up to 3500 fps out of medium capability cartridges such as the 222 Remington and 223 Remington. This is not loaded ammunition.

FAQs

Q: What makes the “Hornet” bullet different?
A: Hornet bullets are designed for lower velocities, ensuring proper expansion without bullet breakup.

Q: Can this bullet be used in .223 or .22-250?
A: It can be used with reduced loads, but it is not designed for high-velocity cartridges and may not perform optimally at higher speeds.

Q: Is this suitable for varmint hunting?
A: Yes, it is ideal for small game and varmints where controlled expansion is needed.

Q: What twist rate works best?
A: Standard .22 Hornet twist rates (commonly 1:14 or slower) stabilise this bullet well.
