This bullet was designed for rifles with a thin-walled jacket and a soft core in the conventional round nose shape for cartridges like the 22 Hornet, 22 K-Hornet, or 218 Bee with muzzle speeds between 2600 and 2900 fps. At these low velocities, the bullet's thin jacket and rounded snout enable excellent accuracy and effective expansion on small varmints. The bullet is designed for barrels with a 1/16" twist rate and muzzle velocities that necessitate a "short" bullet for adequate stability. It's also good for target and varmint shooting with rifles that fire medium-capacity cartridges like the 222 Remington and 223 Remington at muzzle velocity up to 3500 fps. This bullet, which has a thin jacket and a lot of exposed lead, is suited for all 22 caliber centerfire cartridges in handguns. It will expand from a varmint bullet in Hornet handgun velocities to a powerful “Blitz” style Varminter in 223 Remington velocities. Bullets with a round nose form provide exceptional accuracy, especially at short to medium ranges.
