Description

Schultz & Larsen Legacy 223 Rem 1-8"

The Schultz & Larsen family's new arrival. The Legacy is a lovely baby, slender, light and extremely precise. This is the ideal setting for the popular. Rem size 223 Rem. The Legacy is the favorite pick for an evening walk with only 2.8 kg of a barrel of 53.5cm and a magazine capacity of 4+1. Barrels are screwed for a 1/2x20 UNF thread sound moderator. The action top takes all steel mounts, available in a variety of diameters and heights, with the sturdy and lightweight Schultz & Larsen. For those wishing to use an alternate mount, the action is drilled and taped (hole spacing is 22mm and action radius 15mm).

The Legacy, similar to other rifles in the Schultz & Larsen family, has a barrel swap that allows any other barrel in its caliber group to be replaced only by a simple clamp. With all legacy calibres, the same bolt is used. The unexpectedly cheap cost of a barrel makes it conceivable in all three calibers to have a legacy.

FAQs

Q: What does the 1:8" twist rate mean?
It allows stabilisation of heavier, longer bullets (69–80gr) while still shooting lighter bullets effectively—making it more versatile than slower twists.

Q: Is this suitable for long-range shooting?
Yes. With the right ammunition, .223 Rem in a 1:8 twist can perform well out to 600m+, especially with high-BC bullets.

Q: Can I change calibres?
Yes. The Legacy system supports barrel swaps within its calibre group, using the same bolt.

Q: Is it good for beginners?
Yes—low recoil, high accuracy, and manageable weight make it an excellent learning platform.

Q: How accurate is it?
Schultz & Larsen rifles are known for match-grade accuracy, often achieving sub-MOA performance with quality ammo.
