Norma Ammunition 7mmRM 170gr PPDC x20 #20170272
Released in 1962 by Remington as a short magnum based on the H&H .375 case, it is the most popular and widely used magnum cartridge in the world. The reason is pretty obvious. Like all short 7mm magnum cartridges, the Remington version is a very slim and flexible large game cartridge that shoots flat and gives a very pleasant recoil.
None of the short 7mm magnums differ significantly from the .375 H&H Magnum that appeared 50 years before the 7mm Remington Magnum. The latter became the most successful thanks to the appearance of slow-burning powders after World War II and the good, reasonably priced rifles that Remington made available with its new 700 model. The wide variety of bullets available combined with the excellent ballistic capabilities of the .284" bullets make the 7mm a good choice for almost all game species except the larger ones in Africa.
Product Information:
Q: What does PPDC mean?
A: PPDC stands for Plastic Pointed Design Controlled, which enhances aerodynamics while ensuring controlled expansion on impact.
Q: Is this suitable for long-range hunting?
A: Yes. The 7mm Remington Magnum is known for its flat trajectory and efficiency at extended ranges.
Q: Can this be used for all game sizes?
A: It is best suited for medium to large game. Always match your ammunition to the target species and hunting conditions.
Q: Will it work in any 7mm rifle?
A: No. It is specifically designed for rifles chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum, not other 7mm calibres.
