The tough AMP bullet jacket (Advanced Manufacturing Process) used in the construction of Hornady Traditional and FMJ rounds obviously produces improved performance. Other manufacturers' thin-plated entire metal jackets are prone to distortion and frequently break or separate as the bullet strikes the target.

The Hornady AMP bullet jacket has very no tolerance for concentricity and almost no variance in wall thickness, which allows it to penetrate targets without breaking or deforming.
