Hornady .375 cal 270 gr SP-RP x50
The exposed lead tips on our standard line of bullets allow for regulated expansion and powerful terminal performance. Most of them feature our revolutionary secant ogive design, one of the most effective ballistic profiles ever created. Most have our patented InterLock® design, which locks the core and jacket together during expansion to preserve mass and energy. This raised ring inside the jacket is embedded in the core of the bullet.
INNER GROOVES
Strategically weaken the upper section of the jacket, ensuring consistent, controlled expansion, even at long range.
TAPERED JACKET
Jacket thickness is precisely controlled for expansion at all velocities.
ONE-PIECE CORE
Does not separate like two-piece divided cores. The InterLock® retains more mass and energy for deep penetration and large, consistent wound channels that ensure quick, clean kills.
CANNELURE
Provides accurate and consistent crimping and also works with InterLock® ring to ensure the core and jacket remain locked during expansion.
INTERLOCK RING
The raised InterLock ring is embedded in the bullet's core, ensuring the core and jacket are locked in one piece during expansion to retain mass and energy.
➡️ Often used as an all-around .375 hunting bullet, especially where extreme penetration (solids) is not required.

Q: Is this suitable for dangerous game?
A: Yes, for many scenarios—but for the largest dangerous game (e.g., buffalo), bonded or solid bullets (DGX/DGS) are often preferred.
Q: How does it compare to bonded bullets?
A: It expands well and penetrates deeply, but bonded bullets retain even more weight under extreme impact.
