The above DPM Recoil Reduction System works because of the multi spring complex rod (3 springs), and in some situations, the system offers nearly double force in the slide at the end of full open position, compared to the original OEM spring, and functions as a buffer on the slide. As a result of this impact, the slide stops smoothly on the frame and provides minimal recoil.
