When To Use It

Use bronze brushes during:

  • Routine cleaning after shooting sessions

  • Removing carbon rings or stubborn residue
  • Pre-cleaning before using solvents for deeper fouling removal

Important:

  • Always push the brush fully through the bore before reversing direction to avoid damage.
  • Combine with solvent for best results.

FAQs

Are bronze brushes safe for barrels?
Yes. When properly designed and used correctly, they are 100% barrel safe and won’t damage rifling.

Why do patches turn blue when using copper solvent?
Copper solvents react with the bronze bristles themselves, not just fouling—causing false readings.

How long do they last?
They are durable but wear over time. Replace when bristles become flattened or less effective.

Can I reverse direction inside the barrel?
No—always push the brush completely through before pulling back.
