17 HMR, Left Handed

Description

The 10000-times proven Biathlon straight pull action with repeating device in conjunction with the match two-stage trigger allows for extremely fast repeating, resulting in crucial seconds for hunting success. To open the straight pull repeater action for reloading, simply use your index finger. The thumb is used to close the action once more. The shooter reloads the rifle with a single wrist movement. The hand that operates the trigger will remain in the grip, and the elbow will not have to move. As a result, the shooter only needs a short amount of time to focus. The lock time is extremely short, allowing for a high hit rate.

The.17 HMR caliber (Hornady Magnum Rimfire) with a shot diameter of 0.17 inch is the most innovative firearms introduction in recent years. ANSCHÜTZ presented, as one of the world's first manufacturers, a rifle that sets the standard in this caliber from the start. The renowned ANSCHÜTZ precision and quality, combined with the world's fastest rimfire cartridge, results in the ultimate answer for predator hunting with minimal pelt damage.

The world-renowned ANSCHÜTZ straight-pull action found in the model 1827 F is now available in our premier rimfire sporting rifle, the 1727 F. When fully closed, the 1727's bolt is locked in place with 7 hardened steel balls, similar to the Biathlon action. A short reward movement of the bolt handle releases the steel balls, allowing for ultra-fast action cycling. The non-slip, knurled bolt handle and short locking distance allow for lightning-quick follow-up shots. To avoid damage when dry firing, the one-piece firing pin has a defined end-stop area. The sturdy steel receiver and thick-walled target barrel ensure precise shooting. The receiver has two 11mm wide grooved bases for mounting scope rings. The bolt body's action face is set back so that the bolt head covers the cartridge rim. The separate bolt catch on the receiver's side restricts bolt movement and thus protects the trigger. In the event of a cartridge failure, a gas vent hole on the side of the extractor groove directs any gas to the side of the firearm. When the sliding safety catch on the right side is secured, it blocks the trigger while also lifting the catch lever and release link. When the firearm is secured, the bolt can be opened. When the safety is locked, the firearm can also be unloaded.

Target two-stage and single-stage triggers from ANSCHÜTZ have always set the standard for quality, dependability, and precision. ANSCHÜTZ triggers are widely regarded as the best in the world for good reason. Many manufacturers provide adapters for incorporating this masterpiece of German gunsmithing into their firearms. The trigger components are light in weight, hardened, and finely ground, allowing for quick and consistent trigger release.
The cylindrical precision barrels with excellent shooting performance are made using the same ANSCHÜTZ special process that is used to make the world-famous ANSCHÜTZ target barrels.
