Model 1727F - straight pull repeater in caliber .17 HMR
The 10000-times proven Biathlon straight pull action with repeating device in connection with the match two-stage trigger allows very fast repeating which results in important seconds for the hunting success. The straight pull repeater action can easily be operated with the index finger to open it for reloading. The action is closed again with the thumb. The shooter reloads the rifle with just one movement of the wrist. The hand operating the trigger will remain at the grip and even the elbow does not have to move. The shooter thus only needs little time for focussing. The lock time is extraordinarily short and it makes a high hit rate possible.
The .17 HMR caliber (Hornady Magnum Rimfire) with a shot diameter of 0.17 inch is the most innovative introduction to the firearms field in the last few years. ANSCHÜTZ presented, as one of the first manufacturers in the world, a rifle hat sets the standard in this caliber from the very start. The renowned ANSCHÜTZ precision and quality teamed with the fastest rimfire cartridge in the world produces the ultimate answer for predator hunting with minimum pelt damage.
The world famous ANSCHÜTZ straight-pull action used in the model 1827 F is offered in our premier rimfire sporting rifle; the 1727 F. Identical to the Biathlon action, the 1727’s bolt is locked in place with 7 hardened steel balls when fully closed. The steel balls are released by a short reward movement of the bolt handle, allowing for an ultra-fast cycling of the action. The non-slip, knurled bolt handle and short locking distance enable unbelievably fast follow-up shots. The one-piece firing pin has a defined end-stop area to avoid damage when dry firing. The robust steel receiver and thick-walled target barrel ensure top shooting accuracy. The receiver has two 11mm wide grooved bases for the attachment of a scope rings. The action face of the bolt body is set back so that the cartridge rim is covered by the bolt head. The separate bolt catch on the side of the receiver limits the bolt movement and thus protects the trigger. A gas vent hole on the side of the extractor groove directs any gas to the side of the firearm in the case of a cartridge failure. When secured, the sliding safety catch on the right-hand side blocks the trigger at the same time as lifting the catch lever and release link. The bolt can be opened when the firearm is secured. The firearm can also be unloaded when the safety is secured.
ANSCHÜTZ target two-stage and single-stage triggers have always set the standard for quality, reliability, and precision. It is not without reason that ANSCHÜTZ triggers are known as the best in the world. Many manufacturers offer adapters for integration of this masterpiece of the German gunsmith‘s art into their firearms. The light weight, hardened and finely ground trigger components facilitate fast and consistent trigger release.
The cylindrical precision barrels with excellent shooting performance are manufactured according to the same ANSCHÜTZ special process, used for the manufacture of the world-famous ANSCHÜTZ target barrels. The same also applies to the manufacturing process of the chamber and the recessed muzzle.
