Lee Full Length Decapping pin 7.62x39 .311 SE1935
The Lee High Carbon Steel Sizing Die resizes the case to the correct size while also depriming the previous primer. Reloaders never know when a component will fail, so be ready with high-quality replacement parts.
Fits: 7.62x39 Russian
Use the SE1935 decapping pin when:
It is especially important when switching from .308 to .311 projectiles, as the correct expander ensures proper bullet seating and prevents case damage.
Important Note:
7.62×39 rifles vary—some use .308 bullets, but many (especially surplus or Eastern-bloc rifles) require .310–.311 bullets, making this expander the correct choice in those setups.
Q1: Is this the same as SE2024?
No. SE2024 is typically used for .307/.308 expansion, while SE1935 is designed for larger .310–.311 bullets.
Q2: Does this include the full decapping rod?
Yes—this version is typically supplied as an EZ X Expander/decapping rod assembly, not just the pin.
Q3: Why do I need a .311 expander?
Because many 7.62×39 rifles use larger bore diameters, and using a smaller expander can cause excessive neck tension or bullet deformation.
Q4: Can I use this with .308 bullets?
Not recommended. It may result in insufficient neck tension.
Q5: What causes decapping pins to fail?
