Sierra created the 225 grain #2850 Spitzer Boat Tail bullet for the popular.35 Whelen wildcat cartridge when Remington standardized it. This bullet contains a hefty, double-tapered jacket drawn to extremely tight tolerances, as well as an unique alloy core for deep penetration and good expansion on big game. It also has the trademark Sierra SBT form for great ballistic efficiency when compared to 35 caliber bullets. This bullet is extremely accurate and keeps velocity and energy really well downrange. The flat trajectory increases the useable range of all 35 caliber cartridges and provides crushing power even at long range. Although it is not suitable for the 35 Remington cartridge, it is well matched to the more powerful 358 Winchester, 350 Remington Magnum, and 35 Whelen cartridges. It is suitable for all North American large game in any of these cartridges.
