Berger Hunting bullets are VLD match grade bullets with the best possible ballistic coefficient and are meant for ranges of 300 yards and beyond. For the best accuracy, Berger suggests seating the rounds so that they touch the rifling. However, the overall length of the finished cartridge may be too long for some magazines. The VLD design features a pointed snout that permits the bullet to penetrate 2" to 3" before expanding.
