Description

ADI AR2207 1kg

For cartridges like the .222 Remington and 7.62mm x 39 Russian, this fine-grained fast-burning rifle powder is highly handy. It has a similar burning rate to IMR 4198, but it meters much better through ordinary powder loaders.

Best Suited For

ADI AR2207 excels in:

  • Small to medium rifle cartridges
    • .222 Remington
    • .223 Remington (lighter projectiles)
    • .45-70 Government
    • .444 Marlin
  • Benchrest and varmint shooting
  • Reduced loads and cast bullet applications
  • Short-barrel rifles requiring efficient powder burn

Its fast burn rate makes it particularly effective in cartridges where complete powder burn is needed within shorter barrel lengths.

When To Use It

Use AR2207 when:

  • You need a fast-burning rifle powder for smaller cases
  • Loading light to medium-weight projectiles
  • Developing reduced recoil or subsonic loads (with correct data)
  • Seeking consistent ignition in cold conditions
  • Working with lever-action or straight-wall cartridges

Reloading data shows AR2207 delivering strong velocities in cartridges like 6mm PPC and 7mm BR with controlled pressures.

Is it suitable for handguns?
Primarily a rifle powder. Limited use in some revolver cartridges exists, but only with proper data and caution.

Does it meter well?
As an extruded powder, it meters reasonably well but not as smoothly as ball powders.
