Hodgdon Triple Seven FFFG Loose Powder is a ground-breaking black powder alternative manufactured from gluconic acid, a sugar-based propellant that is more efficient than black powder or pyrodex. Because the powder is sulfur-free, it has no objectionable odor after firing, and it burns efficiently, leaving less residues for easier cleaning.
Triple Seven Powder has the best velocity-to-volume ratio of any granular muzzleloading propellant, resulting in flatter trajectory and more precise rounds. This powder is available in FFFG granulation with a lower grain size and is suited for use in pistols or rifles of .50 caliber or less. Highly recommended for revolvers in .31, .36, and .44 calibers.
