Description

Hornady OAL Modified Case 30-06 Springfield A3006

These cases are specially modified to work with Lock-N-Load Precision gauges. A special fine thread is used to attach them to the gauges, ensuring that they remain perfectly square for precise alignment in the chamber of your firearm. Second, the neck of the case is made perfectly round and opened slightly to allow a standard-diameter bullet to slip into the case mouth effortlessly, but concentrically, to ensure the most precise results possible.

FAQs

Q: Can this modified case be fired?
No. It is strictly a measuring tool and must never be used as live ammunition.

Yes for standard chambers. Slight differences between rifles will produce slightly different measurements, which is normal.

Q: What tools are required?

  • Hornady OAL Gauge
  • Calipers (preferably with a bullet comparator)

Q: Can it be used in tight-neck chambers?
No. Modified cases may not function properly in tight-neck chambers.

Q: Why use a factory modified case instead of making one?
Factory cases provide better alignment, smoother bullet movement, and more consistent results than DIY modified brass.
