Description

Howa 1500 S/A Chassis Stock KRG Bravo FDE Colour

Bravo offers the benefits of a basic chassis combined with traditional Target / Varmint ergonomics at an affordable price. Bravo is one of the most comfortable shafts on the market, but it's just the beginning. The price will keep you and your wallet happy, it's two. The precision-machined bedding area brings your actions to a happy place, just like custom-made ones. The rigid aluminum backbone over its entire length does not loosen the front edge, but allows for modular designs with many accessories and other KRG chassis. Ergonomic adjustments are necessary for the frame so that you can take difficult shots. It's light, comfortable,  modular, and good-looking.

➼ Suits Howa 1500 Short Action.
➼ Bravo Chassis: Howa Short Action - FDE

Forend:
Lightweight, polymer to avoid heat transfer from/to the shooter's hand. Mounting holes in various locations can accommodate L2 Picatinny rails, tripod mounts, barrier stops and more. Mlok slots on the sides and bottom of the fore-end for mounting universal accessories. Access holes for action mounting screws so you can remove the action without removing the fore-end.

“Backbone”/Chassis:
A continuous aluminum backbone from action to fore end. A radial betting system CNC is machined with aluminum to ensure uniform contact between the action and the chassis. Hardened stainless steel recoil eyelets instead of the aluminum eyelets used in the standard T3. The Rem 700 version can accommodate several thick aftermarket recoil tabs. Larger ones need an inlet. Accepts Whiskey3 Gen3 + spigot mount. Designed for 5 or 10 rounds of AICS magazine (T3 uses spacer plates only with Rem 700, with or without front spacer plates, unless you change the action). It then accepts the barrel contours up to a 1.15-inch straight cylinder.

Trigger Guard/Mag catch:
Molded or machined lightweight trigger guards and T3 versions accept Bernard and factory triggers for T3. The Rem 700 version accepts new xmark triggers and almost all aftermarket triggers, but some aftermarket triggers may require trigger or chassis changes. (Tab 2-step trigger does not work) Optional mug catch extender button in the accessories section.

Cheekpiece:
Infinitely adjustable within range (~1” travel).
Can be quickly removed and re-installed, uses a clamp and thumbscrew design.
Made of polymer to limit heat transfer to or away from your face.
Length of Pull (LOP):
Adjustable with spacers in 3/8" increments with nearly 2 1/4” of adjustment range.
LOP range varies slightly between versions but is roughly 12.8” to 15” (technically even longer is possible with even more spacers).
Bravo's include our 1-3 LOP kit which includes 3 spacers and the hardware to mount either 1, 2, or 3 allowing a max LOP of about 14"

Buttstock:
Very strong reinforced polymer material.
Mounting points for external QD cup.
Built in thumbshelf for same-side-thumb-grip shooters.
Can be configured with a continuous angled lower surface or a "butthook" configuration
Modularity with X-ray and Whiskey-3 back ends, either of those will fit on Bravo and vice versa

Recoil Pad:
Premium KRG-designed pad that is light, durable, and comfortable to shoot.
Remington 700 pattern so user can install aftermarket pre-fit pads if preferred.
