A highly configurable, in-line reverse path, bolt action rifle is the Ruger Precision Rifle. The 5/8"-24 thread medium contour (.75" by the muzzle) is fitted with a protection thread. A highly precise Ruger 4140 cold chrome moly steel barrel with 5R Rifling is fixed at the minimum dimensions of the boore and groove, minimum head space and centralized chamber.
