The Beretta 692's action was designed primarily to suit the demands of competition shooters. From the side, it resembles our 680-series shotguns, which are known for their low profile, which helps align the dominant eye with the supporting hand. The biggest change is that the 692 receiver is wider and heavier, which provides more stability and ease of handling while also reducing tiredness during extended matches.
A Champion of Adjustability
The 692 has an adjustable single-selective trigger and adjustable ejection or extraction. Adjustable balance is also standard on all models, and it's performed by inserting weighted wads into the buttstock, allowing you to fine-tune the point of balance to your preferences without affecting the overall weight. Beretta's B-Fast comb system, which allows you to customize the stock's drop and cast to your exact specifications, is also available as an option.
