Norma 300WSM 165gr Oryx Bonded
The Norma Oryx .300 WSM is a 7.62mm short action magnum cartridge with considerable effect and excellent accuracy. It is very similar to the regular .300 Winchester Magnum in terms of ballistics, but takes advantage of the short action design which allows more powder to sit closer to the flash hole. When the primer ignites, it allows a more uniform burn which in turn translates into more efficient use of energy. A .300 WSM can therefore achieve the same ballistics with less powder. Oryx belongs to a new generation of hunting bullets in which the heart and mantle are chemically leaked together. The carefully designed sheath, combined with the chemically soldered core, produces a bullet that does not fragment even in the largest bone hits, but that mushrooms massively even when it hits soft tissues. Many hunters want a bullet that stays in one piece and does not shatter in its share of the animal. This bonded design suits the all-round hunter who wishes to simplify the choice of cartridge for hunting.
