Hunters Precision Rakaia Carbon Fiber Bipod

The Hunters Precision Rakaia Carbon Fiber Bipod (Part #HP-S-RAKAIA) is a premium, ultra-extended field bipod designed by the New Zealand hunter-sourced brand Hunters Precision. Engineered specifically as a genuine, lightweight alternative to a heavy hunting tripod, the Rakaia uses high-rigidity 12K carbon fiber legs that telescope up to an impressive 70 cm (approx. 27.5 inches). It is specifically built to deliver rock-solid stability in tall tussock grass and steep alpine terrain without sacrificing the quick, rifle-mounted handling characteristics of a standard bipod. 
 

Best Suited For

  • Alpine and Backcountry Hunters: It is explicitly engineered for remote mountain hunting (such as tahr, chamois, and red deer) where weight conservation is crucial but tall cover dictates a higher shooting position.
  • Seated and Kneeling Shots: Its length makes it uniquely optimized for taking stable, comfortable shots from sitting or kneeling positions, effectively bypassing obstructions like tall brush, crops, or rocks that block prone shooters. 
  • Modular Rifle Setups: The dual attachment head natively supports rifles utilizing either standard tactical Picatinny rails or target-style Arca-Swiss rails.
