Caldwell XLA 6-9 Pivot Bipod #247142
The Caldwell XLA Bipods offer a secure shooting platform that mounts to practically any rifle with a sling swivel stud. With legs that swiftly spring out to the shooting position at the push of a button, the lightweight aluminum design adds minimal weight and deploys quickly. For easy indexing to a specified height, the legs are notched. There includes a sling attachment point, as well as multi-section legs that collapse forward for easy carrying of the handgun. The padded bipod base covers the firearm's forend while soft rubber feet provide increased stability.
XLA Bipods come in three different heights, black or camo, and conventional or pivoting variants. In the real world of hunting, the chances of getting the perfect shot while standing on flat ground are limited to none. A movable bipod allows the shooter to correct for up to a 20-degree slope in the ground. The lower half of the bipod pivots independently from the upper stock mount, allowing the firearm to be leveled rapidly over uneven terrain. The tension knob can be changed to modify the pivoting motion's resistance.
