The Lee 90008 is mounted away from the pot's high heat. This eliminates the failures that are common with thermostatically controlled units. Thermal feedback to the Infinite Control allows the heater to operate at maximum power until the metal has melted. Has a large, deep pot that holds about 10 pounds of lead.

The melting time is under 20 minutes. The pour spout should be in the front, where you can see what you're doing. Heat can be controlled indefinitely. Only 500 watts of power are used during heat-up and much less is used to maintain temperature. For safety, use a large, stable base. The 4" clearance under the spout is sufficient to accommodate all brands of bullet molds and most sinker molds.
