There's also the #11M, which has greater strength to light off counterfeit black particles. Our #10 cap is designed for revolvers with smaller nipples. The Four Wing Musket Caps are designed for authentic and reproduction muskets and rifles that require big, winged caps.

Only utilize nipples with a large internal diameter when utilizing percussion caps for reenactment or demonstration shooting without a powder charge or bullet. When shot repeatedly without a powder charge, standard nipples designed for normal loads can clog, potentially causing the cap to shatter. For nipples without powder charges or bullets, we propose a minimum internal diameter of 0.050 inch. Thoroughly clean nipples and the flame path during firing sessions. Always wear approved shooting glasses when firing any muzzleloading firearm.
