The Ase Utra S series SL5 sound suppressors come in a variety of calibers, ranging from.222 Rem to.30-06 Spr. The S series SL5 suppressors are made of 300-class stainless steel and joined by welding. They are manufactured in Finland by Ase Utra Ltd. Suppressors are made of durable materials and are designed to last a long time. The S series SL5 suppressor adds only 98 millimeters to the weapon's length, with a diameter of 44.5 millimeters. Additionally, suppressors lower the weapon's sound pressure level by 22-30 decibels (depending on caliber, ammuntion type, and measurement location). Suppressors also considerably reduce muzzle flash and recoil.

Rifles tested with the AU S series suppressors, comply with the latest personal exposure limit set by the European Directive 2003/10/EC (140 Pa tai 137 dB (C)).
