The matte black 4-1240 VX-2 Adjustable Objective Riflescope from Leupold is designed for distance shooting and boasts a Fine Duplex reticle. It is decorated with a 24k gold-plated ring and a medallion. The optical system has various anti-glare coatings that are index-matched to decrease reflections and increase light transmission. The borders of the ecologically friendly lead-free optical components have been darkened to boost contrast and eliminate stray light. External parts with DiamondCoat protective coatings protect lenses from scratches and boost transmission to 94 percent. The scope has an 80 MOA windage and elevation adjustment range with a 1/4 MOA impact point correction to assist you compensate for wind drift and ballistic bullet drop.
The Fine Duplex reticle, which is located in the second focal plane, features narrower posts and crosshairs that allow for less target coverage, making precision shots on tiny targets easier. The reticle will stay the same size when the zoom factor changes due to its location in the second focal plane.
The lightweight and sturdy 6061-T6 aluminum housing is waterproof and fogproof, with a twin bias spring erector mechanism that enhances holding force by 30%. The housing is filled with a mixture of krypton and argon gases to minimize fogging of lenses when moving through settings with variable temperatures. Protective lens covers are also supplied with the riflescope.
