According to Cold Steel, this is the best hunting knife you can get at any price. It has a wide VG-1 San Mai III blade. Carefully sharpened like a razor, while the shape of the blade simplifies the task of any hunter.
The spine of the blade is 5mm thick to allow for the strength and rigidity needed to skin the skin of larger animals such as moose, brown bear etc. The handle has been specially designed to promote long, fatigue-free use. Made from the shock-absorbing and slightly tacky feel of Kraton, and with our deeply textured checkered surface, the knife won't slip even with wet hands.
It shares most of the design features with the cold steel Master Hunter knife, however, this model includes a skinning hook. This makes it an extremely useful tool in the field and for opening body cavities without drilling into the entrails.
