The eTrex 20x is an updated version of the popular eTrex 20, featuring a higher screen resolution and greater internal memory to hold more maps. It maintains eTrex's famed ease of use, durability, and affordability, and may be used on ATVs, bicycles, boats, vehicles, or hot air balloons.
The eTrex 20x features a 2.2-inch 65K color display that is sunlight-readable. The eTrex 20x is built to survive the weather and is both durable and waterproof. It has a new interface, yet it still has the same famous resistance against dust, filth, humidity, and water.
The eTrex 20x is designed as a portable or for use on ATVs, bicycles, boats, vehicles, and even hot air balloons, and comes with a variety of compatible mounts. For turn-by-turn driving directions, use the auto mount capability and City Navigator NT® maps, or the tough mount for your motorcycle or ATV. It has the mapping and mounts to get you everywhere you want to go with eTrex.
The eTrex receivers are the first consumer-grade receivers to simultaneously track GPS and GLONASS satellites. When using GLONASS satellites, a Russian Federation-developed system, the time it takes for the receiver to "lock on" to a position is (on average) 20% faster than when using GPS. When using both GPS and GLONASS, the receiver may lock on to 24 more satellites than when only using GPS.
With a microSD card slot and 3.7 GB of internal memory, the eTrex 20x lets you install TOPO 24K and Garmin HuntViewTM for a wonderful day on the trail, or plugin BlueChart® g2 preloaded cards for a terrific day on the water or City Navigator NT map data for turn-by-turn routing on roads. BirdsEye Satellite Imagery (membership required) is also supported by eTrex 20x, which allows you to download satellite images to your smartphone and merge them with your maps.
eTrex locates your position rapidly and precisely, even in dense cover and deep gorges, thanks to its high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver, and HotFix satellite prediction.
Geocaching GPX files are supported by the eTrex 20x, allowing you to download geocaches and details directly to your device. Visit begin your geocaching journey, go to Geocaching.com. You're not just saving the environment but also increasing efficiency by going paperless. eTrex 20x stores and displays critical information such as location, topography, difficulty, suggestions, and descriptions, eliminating the need for human input and paper printouts. Simply transfer the GPX file to your device and begin searching for caches.
BaseCamp, software that allows you to browse and manage maps, waypoints, routes, and tracks, will help you plan your next expedition. You may also build Garmin Adventures to share with friends, family, or fellow explorers with this free trip-planning program. On your computer screen, BaseCamp displays topographic map data in 2-D or 3-D, including contour lines and elevation profiles. When combined with a BirdsEye Satellite Imagery subscription, it can also transfer an endless number of satellite images to your device.
