Long-range accuracy has been improved thanks to technological advancements in modern rifles, ammunition, and optics. However, achieving accuracy requires precise mounting and alignment of your system's scope. To guarantee holdover or turret adjustments for bullet drop generate proper vertical compensation for point of impact, a scope's reticle must be exactly aligned with the weapon. Both elevation and windage bullet impact error will occur if the crosshairs are canted left or right.
The Wheeler Professional Reticle Leveling System is a high-precision instrument and technique that makes it simple to level a sight on any handgun. This instrument stands out thanks to CNC machining, factory-adjusted calibration set screws, anodized aluminum construction, and a protective molded casing.
Two machined aluminum level housings calibrated to their integrated levels make up the system. The larger Reference Level is affixed to the gun's barrel, while the smaller Barrel Clamp Level is mounted on the sight base, the bottom half of a ring, or another flat surface perpendicular to the gun's vertical axis. After that, the cannon is spun until the Reference Level is perfectly aligned. The Barrel Clamp Level's tuning adjustment knob is then twisted until the level is centered to match the Reference Level. The Barrel Clamp Level is now calibrated to the axis of the cannon.
The Reference Level can be placed on top of the scope's turret cap and the scope can be mounted loosely. The scope is spun till the Reference Level lines up with the Barrel Clamp Level, and then it is simply locked in place.
