Description

Zeiss Terra ED Binoculars 10x42 Black

The revised ergonomic chassis on the black ZEISS Optics 10x42 Terra ED makes holding them more pleasant, especially during long glassing sessions. They retain the Terra ED's excellent optical characteristics, such as small Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms, SCHOTT extra-low dispersion (ED) glass, and proprietary multi-coatings. These complimentary technologies and elements combine to create an immersive observational experience with clear and bright sights, accurate color representation, and almost no distortion throughout the full wide field of view. The 60° apparent angle of view reduces obvious hand shake, which is prevalent in higher-power binoculars.

The lightweight ergonomic chassis is built of fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate, which adds impact and temperature resistance without losing strength. The housing will not experience the expansion and contraction common in metal chassis, which can cause the optical elements to move out of alignment over time and hinder the binoculars' ability to achieve sharp focus. Being resistant to temperature changes ensures that the housing will remain a constant temperature, even in cold and wet conditions. A black rubber armoring covers the chassis, protecting it from drops and collisions while also providing a slip-resistant grip.
