Take a load off if the prospect of hauling a gun up a mountain or through heavy brush is dragging you down. The Henry Big Boy Carbine is a modern take on the famous “Trapper” rifles of the past. It combines all of the benefits of our iconic Big Boy rifle with the rapid handling of a shorter, lighter carbine barrel length, resulting in a barrel weight reduction of approximately a pound. It's the perfect brush pistol for tiny locations, but don't be fooled by its small size.
When compared to the normal Big Boy, the shorter barrel gives up nothing in terms of accuracy. The attention to detail in the design, like our iconic Big Boy, has superb Western styling, including a huge loop lever that makes gripping this rifle as exciting as shooting it. The 16.5” octagonal barrel is furnished with a brass beaded front-sight and a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with a reversible white diamond insert. The tubular magazine has a maximum capacity of 7 rounds.
Select American walnut is used for the straight-grip stock and forearm, which is complemented with a brass barrel band and Henry's signature brass receiver. All of them have the crisp, smooth action that distinguishes an authentic American-made Henry from other lever action rifles on the market today. The.44 Magnum can fire.44 special rounds, while the.357 Magnum can fire.38 special bullets.
