The Barnes Tipped TSX has a copper body with rings carved into the shank. A polymer tip increases long-range ballistics and provides quick expansion while increasing the ballistic coefficient. The four razor-sharp cutting petals double the bullet diameter, resulting in "dead-on-the-spot" performance.
Barnes bullets are composed entirely of copper and have no lead in them. Barnes suggests seating rounds 0.050" off the lands at first, with the best accuracy found between 0.030" and 0.070" off the lands, depending on the rifle.
