These cases begin with the highest-quality raw materials with the tightest tolerances. The case necks have been annealed to soften the brass and prevent gas leaks, while the case body has been hardened to its maximum hardness to minimize any extra stretching. Case mouths are chamfered and deburred, and a flash hole is bored in new, unprimed brass (magnum calibers are drilled).
