The core and jacket of the Hornady® InterBond® bullet are held together by a patented bonding process. Unlike partitioned or dual-core bullets, where the front core can split from the bullet mass, the InterBond® bullet remains one cohesive mass that produces a deep, wide wound channel without over-penetrating.
InterBond® bullets retain more than 90% of their mass, even through tough hide and bones, thanks to the bonding process and a thicker, stiffer jacket. Plus, for optimal energy transfer, they expand to more than twice their diameter right away.
The lead core is solid and one-piece, so it won't separate. The bullet's bonded architecture enables regulated expansion with minimal fragmentation, and the core never separates from the jacket.
