While we love the brass tradition started by B.T. Henry's 1860 rifle, we understand that today's hunter may prefer something a little lighter on the mountain, and the 2015 introduction of the Big Boy Steel carries on the same brush gun appeal of the brass-framed Big Boys in its overall configuration, but with upgraded features for the modern hunter, while weighing 1.68lbs. less than its brass-framed counterpart.
We use a black solid rubber recoil pad to ensure the steel Big Boy stays easy on the shoulder in any of its three calibers:.357 Magnum/.38 Special,.44 Magnum/.44 Special, and.45 Colt. It has sling swivel studs for hands-free hiking up and down, and we've added a rifle-style fore-end cap instead of the usual carbine-style barrel band.

And, following the success of the Big Boy Steel model in 2015, the Big Boy Steel Carbine was introduced in 2016, in the same three calibers, with the same blued frame and round barrel, but this time in 16.5” length. It has a seven-round magazine capacity and our glove-friendly oversized lever. With an overall length of 34” and a weight of nearly a half-pound less, this is a great companion to your favorite revolver in any of those three calibers, as well as a great compact trailgun on its own.
