The Savage Model 12 Bolt-Action Rifle was created with the intention of providing accurate shot placement at a distance. The synthetic stock that comes with the Model 12 has two pillars for a stable bedding platform. For maximum accuracy, the heavy-contour barrel is free-floated. A lever installed inside the trigger body of the Savage AccuTrigger allows the operator to tune it for a light, crisp release with no creep. Unless the trigger is purposefully depressed in the middle, the sear is blocked by the lever.
