Howa pairs its forged steel Mini Action with a correctly headspaced, hammer-forged target barrel. The Mini Action chamber and bolt are approximately an inch shorter than a typical short action, resulting in an incredibly small rifle with an extremely short bolt throw for quick reloads. The small receiver also contributes to the rifle's overall weight.
