The Howa is based on an earlier Sako model, featuring a one-piece forged bolt, easily retractable firing pin for easy cleaning, a flat bottom for better storage, and a built-in recoil loop to transfer the pull of the Trunion. The 2-stage trigger is convenient to use and the 3-position safety allows the shutter to open when the safety is activated.
