SIG ASP20 SYN .177 AIR RIFLE
SIG SAUER has formally announced the new SIG SAUER ASP20 air rifle. Very importantly, this break barrel gun is the first SIG airgun to be built in the United States.
Many people believe that having a higher muzzle velocity makes for a better air gun. In reality, foot-pound muzzle energy is a better indicator of air rifle power than the rate at which a projectile exits the barrel. A heavier projectile exiting the barrel at subsonic speed has superior downrange accuracy and energy retention than an impractically lightweight bullet leaving the barrel at supersonic speed.
