The fully ambidextrous paddle-style rear latch allows the shooter to easily release the firearm without having to shift his or her shooting hand. The latching mechanism was carefully considered to provide a completely snag-free design while also reducing the danger of accidental magazine dumps that can occur with front-latching systems.
