Trap guns are designed to shoot going away rising targets which is why they are set up with stocks that are higher than their sporting counterpart. The extra height of the stock enables the shooter to keep the target in view, just above the muzzle, and still hit the target with the center of the pattern. When shooting trap targets you do not have to swing the gun as quickly or as far as you do in Sporting. As a result, trap guns tend to be slightly heavier, which makes the gun steadier in its handling and helps soak up the recoil of extended shooting sessions. Miroku Trap guns will always have bigger forends fitted, to assist the shooter in keeping their hands off the hot barrel, and improve the weight distribution of the gun. Most Miroku Trap guns are fitted with interchangeable chokes, with some fixed choke options available.
