To ensure smooth feeding and positive chambering, Winchester Reloading Brass is produced to extremely tight tolerances. Outstanding precision is achieved by maintaining consistent weight and capacity from case to case. Winchester's high-quality, long-lasting brass is reloadable multiple times. Brass is brand new and unprimed. This isn't ready-to-fire ammo.

Preparation:
Case mouths may not be completely round due to the manufacturing process and/or shipment. Cases must be sized (or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck) and deburred/chamfered prior to loading to guarantee a round case mouth.

Note: On the case neck of new brass, there is a mild "staining." This is owing to the annealing process. Annealing is a manufacturing technique that involves rapidly heating to a specific temperature and then rapidly cooling. This method produces casings the right hardness to safely contain a bullet while also allowing them to expand and contract during firing and forming. This procedure leaves a residue, which is the "staining." Before loading, this stain can be removed by tumbling. Before loading, the brass should be full-length sized, trimmed, and chamfered.
