The CZ 455 THUMBHOLE with hefty barrel VARMINT is a type that sport shooters will appreciate. None of the hunters, on the other hand, will be disappointed; on the opposite, they will be overjoyed. The CZ 455 has a well-proven barrelled action that is complemented by a thick-walled barrel that guarantees precision firing at intermediate to long distances while also allowing for a large number of consecutive shots without barrel temperature affecting accuracy. This model differs from the CZ 455 VARMINT rimfire rifle in that it features a thumb hole in the ergonomically built stock.

We have succeeded to combine experience gathered over years of development and production of this type of guns with traditionally excellent quality, extended service life, accuracy, and modern trends in the new generation of CZ rimfire rifles. The new CZ 455 THUMBHOLE model is based on a classic design, but with several upgrades that influence the majority of the rifle's key components. First and foremost, we have responded to several of our customers' requests for an action that allows barrel interchangeability. Shortening the barrel while maintaining customary high accuracy was made possible by applying new knowledge gained during the development and manufacture of rifles tailored for long-range hunting. A new technique of connecting the barrelled action to the stock is now dominated by only two screws, with an enhanced interface that ensures easier tightening and a better appearance. This model is blindfolded. The cold hammer forged barrel, as well as the receiver manufactured from a single billet of high-quality steel, have been kept.
