Description

MatchKings® are the Sierra bullet family's pride and joy, unrivaled in the world and really world class in every way. Sierra's MatchKings® have been depended on by competitive shooters for decades, resulting in a history of state, national, and international records that our opponents envy.

Sierra collaborated with military ordnance experts in 1995 to develop a better long-range bullet for the M21, M24, and M40A1 sniper weapons. The new 175 grain #2275 MatchKing® bullet is the result. Competitive Service Rifle match shooters have also expressed an interest in this bullet.

Sierra MatchKing® bullets have set the bar for reliable accuracy in pistols and rifles all around the world. All 30 caliber MatchKings® have been utilized in handgun silhouettes and long-range target competitions since the debut of the high-performance Remington XP-100 and similar handguns chambering bigger rifle rounds. At all ranges, Sierra's legendary MatchKing® design ensures exceptional accuracy, flat trajectory, and high momentum delivery with low crosswind sensitivity.

MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications, despite their worldwide reputation for record-breaking accuracy. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are popular for varmint hunting, their design does not give the same consistent explosive expansion in varmints as their thinly jacketed Hornet, Blitz, or Varminter counterparts at equal velocities.
