cartridge: 221 fireball

Description

The 221 FireBall was first published in the Experimental Pistol Number 100 in 1963. (XP 100). Wayne Leek designed the XP-100, a single-shot 10-3/4-inch handgun chambered for the 222 Remington cartridge. Wayne determined that a cartridge needed to burn less powder, resulting in the 221 Fireball, which is 1.40 inches long overall, slightly less than the parent case's 1.70 inch length.
