Sig Sauer equipped its 5-25x52 WHISKEY5 Side Focus Riflescope with high-quality optical elements, the HellFire QuadPlex reticle, and a large 52mm objective aperture that collects a lot of light and increases visibility and image brightness in low-light situations. The HDX optics are made of High-Definition (HD), High-Transmission (HT), and Extra-Low Dispersion glass, which gives genuine color while also increasing resolution and brightness. The lenses, which are coated with SpectraCoat anti-reflection coatings, have great transmission over the whole visible spectrum, resulting in bright and clean images. LensArmor coatings protect the optics against abrasions and scratches, ensuring that image quality is not affected by external environmental conditions and elements.
To prevent deterioration of image quality from interfering debris, oil, or water droplets that can stick to lens' surface, the exterior surfaces are enhanced with the oleophobic LensShield coating. Another highlight of this riflescope is its illuminated QuadPlex reticle, which is located in the 2nd focal plane and offers a brilliant red center illumination. It features four medium posts and a fine crosshair. This reticle also uses a fiber-optic technology to finely control illumination of the bright red center dot.
