The main criticism we get about our riflescopes is that they aren't inexpensive. The quality of materials, exact tolerances, skillful workmanship, and the requirement to resist a lifetime of recoil make it physically impossible to manufacture a world-class riflescope that is "cheap." However, we thought we might be able to make one that is a bit more economical.
One of the most difficult challenges we've ever faced was creating a riflescope that lives up to the Nightforce name in every way while remaining affordable to a wider range of hunters and shooters who don't require the "overbuilt" features of our NXS series, which were designed to withstand actual combat conditions.
It wasn't a simple task. We did that, however, by limiting some options, providing simpler controls, and employing a less complex production process, rather than lowering the quality of its components. The Nightforce SHV 4-14 x 56 is a welcome addition to your collection. It will, without a doubt, outperform any riflescope in its price range. And, to be honest, many of them are much, much more expensive.
All we cut were costs. Not corners.
